Configuration | |||
Your choices are... | |||
Chamber | UV chambers consist of a power supply, light source, and an enclosure. The enclosure or chamber provides a work surface and shields the operator from UV radiation. Flood or focused UV light sources may be used to provide illumination.
Conveyor / Continuous | UV conveyors or continuous systems consist of a conveying unit, power supply and light source, as well as an enclosure that is open on both ends. The enclosure shields operators from UV radiation while allowing the workpiece, web, or sheet to pass through the system. Flood or focused UV light sources may be used to provide illumination.
Flood | UV flood lamps or systems provide a broad or wide beam of light. Stand-alone flood systems may have a chamber, conveyor enclosure, or a work surface with or without a UV-absorbing curtain or shield. UV flood sources or modules consist of a power supply and light source for use as a stand-alone system or as a module or subsystem of a larger UV system.
Focused | Focused UV lamps or systems provide a narrow or collimated beam of light. Stand-alone focused UV systems may have a chamber, conveyor enclosure, or a work surface with or without a UV-absorbing curtain or shield. UV focused sources or modules consist of a power supply and light source for use as a stand-alone system or as a module or sub-system of a larger UV system.
Handheld / Portable | Portable or handheld devices are UV systems or products that can be carried manually. These devices are useful for repair, testing, and other applications in field, laboratory, plant floor, and other settings where transportation of large systems is impractical. Spot, flood, or focused UV light sources may be used to provide illumination.
HVAC | HVAC UV systems consist of a power supply, light source, and flange or fitting for attachment to the air supply ducting or coils in a heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) system. Process / Line Mounted | Process or line-mounted UV systems consist of a power supply, light source, and flange cartridge mounting or fitting for attachment to the process line, web system, coating line, water line, and conveyor line or tank. This line carries, stores, or transports water, chemicals, plastic film, food or other transparent media for processing. The UV light passing through the water or media in the line illuminates the fluid stream.
Spot / Wand | Spot or wand systems are benchtop units that provide a UV beam with a small spot size for selective curing applications.
Wall / Ceiling Mounted | Wall or ceiling-mounted UV systems consist of a power supply, light source, and bracket for attachment to a wall or ceiling. The air stream or dust particles are disinfected as the UV light irradiates the air circulating through the room.
Specialty / Other | Other unlisted, proprietary, or specialty configurations.
Search Logic: | All products with ANY of the selected attributes will be returned as matches. Leaving all boxes unchecked will not limit the search criteria for this question; products with all attribute options will be returned as matches.

Spectral Range | |||
Your choices are... | |||
Full Spectrum | Full spectrum devices include the UVA and UVB ranges, and meet general illumination criteria. They simulate the full-spectrum range of natural light, and include a balance of the ultraviolet and the visible color regions.
UVA (Long Wave) | UV systems produce UVA, the near or long wave UV band (~315 to 400 nm). UVA, which is also known as "black light", makes certain pigments fluoresce. It has little effect on pathogens and no effect on human tissue.
UVB | UV systems produce UVB, the middle UV band (~280 to 315 nm). UVB, the "suntan ultraviolet", is used in tanning salons and in some industrial applications. UVB inactivates a moderate amount of pathogens, but is not as effective as UVC. Prolonged exposure to UVB results in blistered skin and cornea damage.
UVC (Short Wave / UVGI) | UV systems produce UVC, the germicidal or short wave UV band (~200 to 280 nm). When used correctly, ultraviolet germicidal irradiation (UVGI) inactivates pathogens by destroying their DNA and RNA, rendering the microbes impotent. Prolonged exposure to UVC causes a temporary reddening of the skin and a temporary eye irritation commonly known as welder's eye; no known permanent damage is caused by extended exposure. The ideal wavelength for eradicating pathogens is 253.7 nm.
Visible / UVV | UV systems produce visible or UV-visible light such as light in the blue green region (~395 to 455 nm). Visible light capability is useful for adhesives with dual UV / UV-visible (UVV) cure capability.
Other | Other unlisted, specialty, or combination UV frequency band such as the vacuum UV (VUV) band (100 to 200 nm).
