I want to get a 220V but I don't know what Converters or adaptors to buy in order to retrofit it onto my regular garage 110v socket. .... Most 115v circuits are designed for 15 amps although some newer buildings are wired for 20 amp .... If you had a transformer to convert from 110 v to 220v and losses were neglected, to even get the power of the dryer circuit, you would draw 60 amps.
