Introduction

Norton AntiVirus Corporate Edition (NAVCE) Servers are the main pillars of the Norton AntiVirus Solution. Without them you would not be able to deploy a NAVCE solution. NAVCE servers allow you to manage clients, distribute virus updates, perform alerting procedures, and so much more. The NAVCE server is critical to a viable NAVCE implementation; if you wish to install managed NAVCE clients, you will need to install at least one NAVCE server.

In this chapter, we will discuss the steps necessary to install and configure these servers that are so critical to the NAVCE infrastructure.
