Linking Learning and Performance: A Practical Guide to Measuring Learning and On-the-Job Application

How performance data are analyzed is dependent upon the design of the measurement program. If a one-shot post-program evaluation design is used, the performance data set is evaluated against standards that were set by the performance objectives. If a control group versus experimental group program evaluation design is used, comparisons between the two groups data sets are conducted. If a before-and-after program evaluation design is used, the performance data set collected before the program is compared to the performance data set collected after the program. Additional analyses may then be required dependent upon the results.
