FAST Creativity & Innovation: Rapidly Improving Processes, Product Development and Solving Complex Problems

Step 2 is the selection of one or more participants to assist in the analysis process. You may elect to skip this step if you choose to do the analysis by yourself when you create an Individual Logic Diagram. A maximum of five participants is recommended, if you select any of the other three logic diagram approaches. The skills and talents of those you should select as participants are covered in Chapter 6, along with information concerning creating Step-by-Step Logic Diagrams, Composite Merged Diagrams, and Normal Logic Diagrams. The advantages of having participants use the computer are also covered in that chapter.
This particular project was selected to demonstrate how to create a FAST Diagram when I wrote my first article about this subject. There were no participants other than myself; therefore, an Individual Logic Diagram will be used to demonstrate the next eight steps of this procedure.
