About the Authors
Dilip K. Das, B.Sc(Honors), B.ChE(Honors), M.S.ChE, P.E is currently a Pressure Safety Specialist of Bayer Corporation at Kansas City, MO, where he applies DIERS technology in emergency relief system design. Before joining Bayer, he was principal process engineer for Ciba Corporation at St. Gabriel, LA where he served as an interdivisional consultant with responsibilities including process design, simulation, technical support of production. cost control and project management. He has worked for Rhone-Poulenc, Inc. as project manager of agro-chemical projects. He has also worked for Stauffer Chemical Company as senior process engineer and for C. F. Braun Company as senior engineer. He received an M.S. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Washington and a B.Ch.E. (honors) in chemical engineering from Jadavpur University, Calcutta, where he received gold medals for excellence. Mr. Das has several publications and a US patent to his credit.
