Core Team Members

1. Work with the consultant to

   • develop functional requirements for the CWMS.

   • develop a request for information (RFI).

   • evaluate the responses to the RFI.

   • develop the request for proposal (RFP).

   • evaluate the responses to the RFP.

   • Develop the demo script.

   • Conduct demos.

   • Present recommendations to the steering committee based on

     functional requirements.

     RFI evaluation.

     RFP evaluation.

     demo evaluations.

     vendor reference checks.

     site visits.

     vendor negotiations.

2. Recommended Team Members

   • manager or person in authority with good overview of the business

   • union representative (preferably someone who can fill one of the roles identified below)

   • maintenance representative (any of the trades)

   • operations representative

   • materials management representative (stores/purchasing)

   • IT representative

   • consulting CWMS expert

Extended Team Members

(These members are involved as necessary to provide input into the process as well as communication to affected business units.)

• finance and administration representative

• engineering representative

• quality assurance and quality control

• laboratory representative

• safety officer

Team Members Time Commitment

• core team part-time based on the activities in the project schedule

• extended team one to two days per discipline (to be interviewed by core team members)

Team Member Qualifications

• good understanding of their area of expertise (e.g., maintenance, operations, inventory, purchasing, accounting, budgeting, etc.)

• general understanding of the company s business

• basic computer literacy skills

• good team skills

Team Leader Qualifications

• good understanding of the company s business (vision, mission)

• good understanding of the company s policies and guidelines

• good understanding of the company s RFI/RFP process
