Appendix 8.6 Template For Functional Requirements Document (For RFP)

Focus Areas

  • Provide clear and concise information on the detailed functionality by module.

  • Indicate if functionality is mandatory. (If the vendor does not provide it they will be excluded from the selection process.)

  • Indicate the possible score and importance of the functionality.

  • Provide a comments section in order for the vendor to provide additional details, if necessary.

Note

It is important that a numbering system for each module, major functionality and detailed functionality be developed and carried through to the remaining stages of the selection process. (This is critical for consistency and validation of the performance of the software.)
