TABLE OF CONTENTS Vegas has many advanced tools for recording audio. Vegas has a metronome for monitoring a click track during recording sessions. (This feature requires that Vegas properties be set for beats and tempos.) While this feature doesn t affect playback or record speed from the timeline, it does affect the tempo at which the metronome is heard. Metronomes are useful for video editors as well, as they can help set a cadence for video to be edited at.
| Tip | Ask the scorist for the video for a tempo map, and Vegas can be mapped out accordingly, so that when the score is complete, the audio is dropped into place if tempo-based editing is the goal. Tempos cannot be adjusted over time, as they are fixed in the setting specified in the AUDIO OPTIONS dialog.
