The first half of the book concentrates on a basic understanding of the essential principles of digital imaging. Emphasis is placed on the essential techniques and skills required for high quality digital capture and production. The book builds student competence to deal with potentially confusing areas such as resolution and the control over tonality and colour. Adobe Photoshop Versions 5.0 through to 6.0 and the budget version Photoshop LE are primarily referred to as these now dominate the commercial industry.
