Overview

If you haven't already loaded Encore, please do so, to assure you are able to follow along with the various instructions found in this book. Insert the disk into your CD or DVD drive and install the application, following along with the screen prompts.

Be sure to register the application as Adobe is very good about notifying registered users of upgrades, special deals, and other materials available as a benefit to registered users.

Before you start authoring, it's going to take a little while to get familiar with the application, how it functions, and how it appears. If you already use other Adobe products, the interface will look very familiar. Grab a soda or cup of coffee, launch the application on your computer screen, and let's get into Encore!
