Architectural Acoustics

The table below presents conversion factors for common acoustical units to corresponding metric system units, often referred to as le Syst me Internationale d'Unit s (SI units). The basic SI units are expressed as follows: length by meter (abbreviated m), mass by kilogram (kg), time by second (s), and temperature by degree kelvin (K). For a comprehensive presentation of metric system units, refer to "Standard for Metric Practice," ASTM E 380. This publication is available from the American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM), 1916 Race Street, Philadelphia, PA 19103.
