Chapter 8: Two-Day Programme

The two-day workshop is the most comprehensive facilitation of the leadership material. It spends at least one hour, including an exercise, on each leadership competency. It begins with the participants completing a selfassessment on the 10 leadership competencies and uses DISC (Dominance, Influence, Steadiness, Compliance) and PIAV (Personal Interests, Attitudes, Values) assessment profiles. It ends with the group creating a development action plan.

The material is slightly different from the one-day version, so it would be a good reinforcement for those who have attended the half-day or one-day programme. All three categories of leadership competencies will be covered: Self-Alignment, Working with Others and Integration.

The objectives for the two-day leadership training workshop are to

  • understand and apply participants personal values and leadership style

  • influence and build relationships within and across organizations

  • manage change and transition

  • lead others with diverse styles

  • align actions and priorities with strategic direction

  • coach and develop others for motivation and performance.
