An international standard for communications with a packet data switching network. The X,25 standard specifies the protocol between the data device (such as a computer) and the network (such as a public packet data network).
This diagram shows a X.25 packet data system that is used to transfer banking (cash flow machine) information through several different X.25 systems. This diagram shows bank teller machine in Rome is connected to a bank processing system in London through a virtual path. This path is created through each packet switching exchange (PSE) the X.25 networks before any data is sent. This example shows that each switching point in the X.25 networks validate the transfer of each packet to the next node or swiching point. This ensures that data reliably passes through each packet node to reach its previously established destination.

A set of large-scale high bandwidth data technologies that can use standard twisted-pair copper wire to deliver high speed digital services (up to 52 Mbps).
A circuit, device or component that divides a DSL signal into separate voice and data outputs. A DSL splitter is typically used for ADSL and VDSL systems.
The DSL splitter separates the existing telephone signal from the high speed data signal. In the United States, the standard telephone signal (POTS) frequency band extends up to 8 kHz. In Europe, standard telephone signals include additional high frequency...
