Increment tapered type 1/64th:
This describes one of several models of tapered gauges used by millwrights. In varying lengths and incremental designs, with the right tapered gauge multiple void widths can be accurately determined in a matter of minutes. The purchase of such a tool is earnings wisely spent.
Indicator arrangement:
In singular, one of a minor myriad of ways to arrange one or more dial indicators to satisfy a specific need. in the Rim and Face chapter alone, there are sixteen indicator arrangements (formats) from which to choose.
Indicator bracket:

Indicator buttons:
An often-used term in millwright jargon meaning the actual contact device threaded onto the outboard end of the plunger/spring-retractable indicator stem which actually makes contact with the rim or face of a pump coupling (for example) during a motor-to-pump alignment.
Note

There are perhaps a dozen varied types of buttons commercially available to attach to these popular indicators. Only a few very generic buttons are necessary in this text.

Indicator circle:
Described in Machinery s Handbook as the indicator path. The diameter of the circle that an indicator button would draw on the face of a shaft coupling if it were an ink pen in lieu of an indicator button.
Indicator Jig:
