Planning Using Primavera: Suretrak Project Manager Version 3.0

Ensure you have checked the Primavera Systems website for the latest Service Pack as some functions in the original release of SureTrak Version 3.0 did not work correctly, especially some printing issues.
There are three methods of creating a new project in SureTrak:
Use a template that contains default data and formats
Copy an old project and modify it
Use the SureTrak Project KickStart Wizard
Before creating a project file you must understand the file types SureTrak will work with.
SureTrak will work with four file types:
SureTrak is the standard format for SureTrak files and allows Long File Names (SureTrak Version 2.0 allowed a maximum of eight characters in the file name).
Project Groups is used when you have a number of projects sharing the same resources and must have exactly four characters in the file name.
Concentric (P3) is used when you wish to share the project with P3 users and must have exactly four characters in the file name.
MPX is a Microsoft Project text data format that many planning and scheduling software packages use to interchange data. MPP is the native Microsoft Project file format, which may not be read by SureTrak.
All file types except MPX will create a number of files in the selected directory for each project with the Project Name as part of the file name.
