TABLE OF CONTENTS In this appendix you will find exam questions that are representative of the Orange Belt online exam in the certification curriculum of the International Institute for Learning (IIL). Candidates need to know this entire book in preparation for the Orange Belt exam.
The certification curriculum is designed so that it complies with the standards of the American Council on Education (ACE). The ACE protects the interests of American universities when auditing certification curricula offered by a private industry, see www.acenet.edu. The ACE has audited our curriculum and has accredited it. This means that participants should be able to get (elective) university credits with their certificate from IIL.
The Orange Belt exam:
The exam is an open-book and open-computer exam; candidates can keep this book at hand when taking the exam and can use the MS Project application interface and help system.
The online exam consists of 30 multiple-choice questions and takes one hour. The participants know their score immediately at the end of the exam. The passing mark is 70%.
In the first twelve months of the online exams, 67% of the people who took the Orange Belt exam passed it. Over all our online exams, including the White Belt, Orange Belt and Blue Belt, 69% of the people passed the exams. ACE promotes the guideline that at a 70% passing mark, ideally 70% of the people should pass the exam. As you can see, the statistics of our exams look very healthy.
