Show project summary task

The project summary task is inserted at the top of the task list and summarizes the entire project, with everything indented beneath it. It has ID number 0 (zero). The project summary task is useful when optimizing, because it displays the total duration, effort and cost of the project. Other schedules are not affected when you (un)check the previous two options, because they are stored in the project schedule; see the label of this section Outline Options for .

Calculation

?

Calculate multiple critical paths

We recommend you keep this option off, since a single project should only have one ending point in the network logic. If there are multiple ending points, there are multiple critical paths. This option is also stored in the project schedule.

Tasks are critical if slack is less than or equal to days

This field creates a threshold for marking tasks that are critical. MS Project calculates if a task is critical. Normally, this option is set to zero, which means that MS Project displays tasks as critical with zero or negative slack and shows them in red. This option is also stored in the project schedule.
