After reading the first few chapters of this book, however, you'll have a good understanding of how VIZ works, and you'll be able to use most, if not all, of the modifiers and materials with a little experimentation and some help from this appendix.
This appendix is intended to give you general information about the modifiers and materials and to show you what types of features are available. If you need more detailed information about the modifiers and materials, the VIZ User Reference offers full descriptions of the options and parameters for all the items discussed in this appendix. Choose Help User Reference. Click the Search tab in the panel to the left, enter the name of the item in the Type In The Word(s) To Search For input box, and then click List Topics. If you see only a single panel in the User Reference, click the Show button in the User Reference toolbar.
The tutorials in this book cover the more commonly used modifiers in VIZ. Every now and then, you'll find a need to use one of the other modifiers that are not discussed at any length in the User Reference.
