Accessing Autodesk Architectural Desktop 2007

Doors, windows and openings are placed in the drawing as objects with three-dimensional properties. When doors, windows and openings are placed in a wall, the wall is automatically trimmed and edited. The swing, hinge location and position within and along the wall can be edited in Architectural Desktop. Door and window styles can be created with material assignments. Door and window styles can be imported from resource files and styles can be exported to resource files to improve design.

The Design palette includes the Door, Window and Opening tools for inserting doors, windows and openings. Each tool allows you to specify the properties of the door, window, or opening in the Properties palette. Styles of doors and windows are can be selected from the Doors and Windows palettes as shown in Figure 5.1. Additional styles can be created using the Style Manager
