REVISION CLOUDS

The revision cloud allows you to identify an area of the drawing that has been revised or add a note that applies to this portion of the building. The revision cloud is created free style with a series of arcs connected to enclose an area of the drawing. Access the Medium Arcs & Tag tool from the Annotation palette. Refer to Table 11.18 for command access.

Tool palette

Select Medium Arcs & Tag from the Annotation tool palette.

When you select Medium Arcs & Tag from the Annotation tool palette, the width of the arc is adjusted according to the scale factor defined by the Drawing Setup. The cloud is drawn with scaled 3/4" radius arcs. To place a revision cloud, select Medium Arcs & Tag from the Annotation tool palette and then specify the start point. Move the pointer from the start point in a circular direction. When the pointer is returned near the start point, the final arc will close, and you will be prompted to specify the callout location. Additional styles of revision clouds can be inserted from the Revision Clouds folder of Documentation Tool Catalog - Imperial or Documentation Tool Catalog - Metric catalogs of the Content Browser.

The following workspace sequence was used to create the revision cloud shown in Figure 11.30:
