2 2: Generating a Wireframe CAD Model of a Part

2 2 Generating a Wireframe CAD Model of a Part

This chapter as well as Chapter 3 presents the commands and techniques for generating 2D wireframe CAD models using Mastercam X2 Design. A Wireframe model is the most basic method of representing a real 2D part as a collection of lines, arcs, points and splines. A wireframe defines the boundaries of the part only. The space enclosed by the boundaries is void of points and undefined. Only parts containing no surface intersections or flat surface planes between the boundaries can be modelled by wireframe.
