On the CD A level can be considered as a transparent drawing surface. The operator can place each different type of information related to the part on its own named level. For example, the part geometry can be placed on level 1, named GEOMETRY; the dimensions on level 2, named DIMENSIONS; the fixturing on level 3, named FIXTURE and the toolpaths on level 4 named TOOLPATHS. This allows the operator to make visible only the information needed to complete a particular operation. MastercamX2 allows the user to create up to 2 billion levels. The current working level is called the main level. All new entities are placed on the current main level. Any level can be assigned as the main level. Entities can be moved or copied from one level to another. Entities on levels that have been tagged as frozen will be hidden from view. MastercamX2
