Stand-alone temperature controllers are specialized devices designed to monitor and regulate temperature. Working Principle

Stand-alone temperature controllers operate by using input sensors, such as thermocouples or resistive thermal devices (RTDs), to monitor the temperature of a target medium. The controller compares the actual temperature (process value) with a desired setpoint value. If the temperature deviates from the setpoint, the controller engages or disengages a control action, such as activating an industrial heater, to maintain the desired temperature range.
