Description
Carbon steel, classified under the UNS G designation, is a type of steel where the main alloying element is carbon. Working Principle
Carbon steel works by utilizing the properties of iron and carbon to create a strong and durable material. Advantages over other Ferrous Metals and Iron Alloys

The ability to achieve a wide range of mechanical properties through heat treatment without the need for expensive alloying elements is another significant advantage. Limitations
One of the primary limitations of carbon steel is its susceptibility to corrosion, especially in environments with high moisture or exposure to caustic substances.
