Description
Three-phase transformers are electrical devices designed to transfer electrical energy between circuits using three-phase alternating current (AC). They consist of three sets of primary and secondary windings, which are typically arranged on a common magnetic core. These transformers are integral in the transmission and distribution of electrical power, especially in high-voltage systems.
Working Principle
Three-phase transformers operate by using three separate windings that are connected in either a wye (Y) or delta (?) configuration. The primary windings receive the input voltage, which creates a magnetic field in the core. This magnetic field induces a voltage in the secondary windings, effectively transforming the voltage level. The use of three-phase power allows for a more balanced load and efficient power distribution, reducing the need for additional infrastructure and minimizing energy losses. Applications

Advantages over other Power Transformers
Three-phase transformers offer several advantages over single-phase transformers.
