Description
Totally enclosed DC motors are designed to prevent the ingress of external contaminants such as dust and moisture. Working Principle
Totally enclosed DC motors operate on the principle of electromagnetic induction. The interaction between the armature windings and the field windings generates torque, which is the force that causes the motor to rotate. The motor's design ensures that the armature and field windings are constantly energized, resulting in consistent torque output. The left-hand rule can be applied to determine the direction of the force exerted on the current-carrying conductor within the magnetic field. Additionally, the motor produces back electromotive force (EMF) as the rotor spins, which influences the motor's speed and efficiency.
