Introduction to AutoCAD 2006 2D and 3D Design

Introduction

As shown in Chapter 1 the AutoCAD coordinate system includes a third coordinate direction Z, which has not been used so far when dealing with 2D drawings in previous chapters. 3D model drawings make use of this third Z coordinate. 3D solid model drawings are mainly constructed using tools from the four toolbars Solids, Solids Editing, Surfaces and Render.
