The end date of an activity is calculated from the start date plus the duration over the calendar associated with the activity. Therefore, a five working day activity that starts on a Wednesday and is associated with a five day work week calendar, with Saturday and Sunday defined as the non work days, will finish on the following Tuesday:
P3 requires that all durations within a Project Group are entered using the same planning unit which was defined in the Add a new Project form when the project was created. The planning unit may be one of the following:
Hours
Days
Weeks or
Months.
A P3 Project Group has a Global Calendar and a minimum of one Base Calendar. The Global Calendar sets the default holidays for all calendars. The Global Calendar cannot be assigned to an activity.
Base calendars are assigned to activities. Up to 31 Base calendars may be created.
