Trip Unit Type
Trip Unit Type:      The trip unit’s function is to trip the operating mechanism (open the circuit) in the event of thermal overload, short circuit current (fault current), or ground fault.
   Your choices are...
Electronic Unit       Electronic trip units are composed of three components, internal to the trip unit. These components are the current transformer, circuit board and flux-transfer shunt trip (for remote controlled tripping of the breaker). There are two types of electronic trip units: Analog and Digital.
Solid State       Solid state circuit breakers are semiconductor devices that can be used in place of standard circuit breakers and do not have any moving parts or mechanical contacts or trip system.
Magnetic Circuit Breakers       The magnetic coil responds rapidly to high values of overcurrent.
Load Break Switch       A load break switch is a circuit breaker that only interrupts load current. A standard circuit breaker can interrupt any type of current: high or low, overload current, under load current, etc.
Thermal Overcurrent Circuit Breaker       The tripping mechanism is comprised of a thermal actuator and a mechanical latch designed to discriminate between in-rush or temporary current surges and prolonged overloads. Applications include motors, transformers, solenoids and low voltage wiring.
Magnetic-Hydraulic Circuit Breakers       This is a fast acting magnetic coil with hydraulically delayed switching characteristics.
Thermal Magnetic Circuit Breaker       This type of circuit breaker combines a bimetal element with a magnetic coil to provide time/current characteristics with two distinct steps. The magnetic coil activates quickly at high overcurrent values. Prolonged low value overloads cause the thermal element to activate. Applications include telecommunications, process control, and similar applications requiring precision performance.
Other       Other, unlisted or proprietary type.

Features
Molded Case Circuit Breaker?       Molded case circuit breakers are tested and rated according to the UL 489 Standard. Their current carrying parts, mechanisms and trip devices are completely contained within a molded case of insulating material. MCCBs are available in various frame sizes with interrupting ratings for each frame size.
Search Logic:      "Required" and "Must Not Have" criteria limit returned matches as specified. Products with optional attributes will be returned for either choice.
Miniature Circuit Breaker?       Miniature circuit breakers (MCBs) are a specific type of circuit breaker used to switch and protect the lowest common distribution voltage in an electrical system. They are generally used in a load center, panel board, or similar device.
Search Logic:      "Required" and "Must Not Have" criteria limit returned matches as specified. Products with optional attributes will be returned for either choice.
Motor Circuit Protector?       Molded case circuit breakers are available with special features making them suitable for the protection of motor circuits when used in conjunction with a separate overload protection device. In these applications, they are often referred to as motor circuit protectors (MCPs).
Search Logic:      "Required" and "Must Not Have" criteria limit returned matches as specified. Products with optional attributes will be returned for either choice.
Remote Controlled Circuit Breaker (RCCB)?       Remote control circuit breakers (RCCBs) are devices that combine the function of a conventional circuit breaker and a relay into one device. They can be remotely activated to trip the circuit.
Search Logic:      "Required" and "Must Not Have" criteria limit returned matches as specified. Products with optional attributes will be returned for either choice.
Lock or Interlock?       Lock and interlock devices are used to deter undesired circuit breaker operation and establish interlocked control systems.
Search Logic:      "Required" and "Must Not Have" criteria limit returned matches as specified. Products with optional attributes will be returned for either choice.
Positively Trip-free?       The circuit breaker cannot be held closed against an overload in accordance with IEC 934 / EN 60934.
Search Logic:      "Required" and "Must Not Have" criteria limit returned matches as specified. Products with optional attributes will be returned for either choice.
Snap-action Actuation?       The contact closing speed is independent of the speed of manual operation of the actuator. Also called Quick-Make, Quick-Break.
Search Logic:      "Required" and "Must Not Have" criteria limit returned matches as specified. Products with optional attributes will be returned for either choice.
Trip Indicator?       A visual indication that the breaker has tripped.
Search Logic:      "Required" and "Must Not Have" criteria limit returned matches as specified. Products with optional attributes will be returned for either choice.
Interchangeable Trip Unit?       Conventional MCCBs are available with either a fixed or interchangeable electromechanical trip unit. If a new trip rating is required for a fixed trip breaker, the entire breaker must be replaced. With an interchangeable trip unit, only the trip unit needs to be changed, up to the maximum current rating of the breaker frame. Interchangeable trip units are also called rating plugs. Some breakers offer interchangeability between electromechanical and electronic trip units within the same frame.
Search Logic:      "Required" and "Must Not Have" criteria limit returned matches as specified. Products with optional attributes will be returned for either choice.
Under voltage Release?       The circuit breaker opens automatically when the voltage drops below the trip level. When the voltage level has reached the reset level, the circuit breaker can be reclosed.
Search Logic:      "Required" and "Must Not Have" criteria limit returned matches as specified. Products with optional attributes will be returned for either choice.
Auxiliary Contacts?       These are auxiliary contacts for alarm or signaling.
Search Logic:      "Required" and "Must Not Have" criteria limit returned matches as specified. Products with optional attributes will be returned for either choice.

Miniature Circuit Breaker Features
Supplementary Protector?       Supplementary protectors are used domestically and internationally. They pass several international standards as circuit breakers, but do not qualify as circuit breakers in the United States. They are not UL approved, only UL recognized. Supplementary protectors provide overcurrent protection, but cannot serve as the only source of protection. Supplementary protectors are available in current ratings from 0.1 to 63 amps.
Search Logic:      "Required" and "Must Not Have" criteria limit returned matches as specified. Products with optional attributes will be returned for either choice.
