Frequentliy two or more diodes must be matched for certain applications. These matchings might relate to (1)Matched forward voltage drop (Vf) at a specified forward current, (2)Matched reverse breakdown Voltage (Vbr) wherein the reverse breakdown voltages are matched at a specific reverse current (Ir),or (3) Matched reverse recovery time (Trr) where switching times must be matched. In each of the three above matching cases "hogging" of current may result and subsequent failure of device and/or circuit if the components are mismatched.

Other matching situations may require rectifier bridge diode matching or doubler circuit diode matching,etc.

AMS does matching of all the above components as well as composite circuit selection, sorting, or matching for composite circuits such as transistor- diode combinations or other mixed component selections/matching i .e. diode – resistor, diode –SCR , or other composite most applications.

Many of these are low volume applications which major manufacturers are not interested in providing.
