PROCESS CONTROLLER SETPOINT PROGRAMMER DATA LOGGER INTERACTIVE TOUCH SCREEN HMI Eurotherm T800 Visual Supervisor Eurotherm introduces the T800 Visual Supervisor. The Visual Supervisor is our exciting new hybrid control system. It combines twenty-five years of recorder and control experience. This powerful video graphic addition to our range of multi loop controllers has the capability of a process controller, data logger, setpoint programmer and HMI touch screen packaged in one unit.

As a powerful controller, it is capable of performing both continuous and sequential control, and features comprehensive alarm and event management including local data logging facilities. It can be used either as a standalone system, or as a building block for a larger system.

Truly open I/O networks are possible with Visual Supervisor, as it provides support for Profibus, Profibus DPv1 and Modbus Master or Slave. It can also be connected to the ALIN (ARCnet local instrument network), allowing both peer-to-peer and wider system communications.

The Visual Supervisor includes a graphical ramping programmer providing between one and 8 analog setpoint profiles and between one and 16 digital output profiles on four separated time bases. Up to 25 Setpoint programs (250 segments) can be stored. And be executed manually, external or by a time date event. Programs can be edited with an offline tool (Setpoint program editor) or trough the standard editor within the Unit.

Visual Supervisor allows connection to a wide range of process interface (2500) I/O modules and other third party devices. It also communicates through standard function blocks with the Eurotherm series 2000 controllers.

Comprehensive trending is based on the successful video graphic recorder from Eurotherm Chessel. You can specify up to 16 points in six groups to be trended and logged to a disk drive. The format is either ASCII or the FDA compliant PKD format. Trends can be triggered on events, manual or time/date.

Separating the processing from the I/O allows physical distribution of the system modules, which reduces termination and wiring costs. Visual Supervisor also simplifies the panel layout.

The Operator interacts with the Visual Supervisor using the touch-screen with the option to have different security levels. Touch screens are available in either 6-inch or 12-inch format. Either one offers a simple 'pop-up' navigation menu, which enables users to access its wide range of functionality.

The Visual Supervisor system can be configured to show a hierarchical view of the plant using area/point/group displays. Up to 99 user Screens can be configured in addition to the standard screens already present in the unit.

Other options available on Visual Supervisor are advanced recipe function and a local printer.

The programming is based on Lintools, a windows based tool for block structured programming. Lintools provides powerful function blocks including offline and online tools. Downloading configurations and programs can be done via the ALIN, serial cable or floppy disk.

Eurotherm also offer a highly integrated package that resides above these systems called Esuite. It is based on Wonderware Factory Suite 2000 with integrated tag generation and automatic recognition of the blocks used in the program. This package will provide you with a very comprehensive online tag browser and predefined display structures. Overall integration reduces engineering time. Plant wide data distribution is an option throughout Wonderware's fully integrated Factory Suite 7.1 based on an Industrial SQL server.
