Advanced Technology from UE Systems and National Aeronautics and Space Administration Brings Distant Leaks & Electrical Emissions Close-Up
Used with the Ultraprobe Models 550, 2000, 3000, 9000 and 10,000
No need to use an elevated platform or a fork lift to locate those hard to reach leaks or risk getting too close to high voltage electrical equipment when looking for arcing, tracking or corona!
It is now possible to locate leaks in ceilings, overhead lines, check high voltage equipment at a safe distance and even scan hazardous gas lines safely.
UE Systems, Inc. the world leader in ultrasonic leak detection has teamed up with one of its' customers, National Aeronautics and Space Administration, long recognized as the world leader in space technology, to produce the UE-LRM Long Range Leak Detection Module.
How the UE-LRM works:
The Long Range Module is a parabolic microphone. The uniquely designed collecting horn of the LRM provides a narrow focus (10 degrees) of reception to deliver a powerful combination of accuracy and sensitivity. The parabolic horn-shape of the amplifying chamber is designed to direct all ultrasonic signals to the apex of the transducer with minimal acoustic energy loss. The signal is then pre-amplified and transferred to the Ultraprobe housing where it is amplified again. This "double amplification" effect works acoustically just like a telescope bringing the leak or electric emission close up.
