2C20 ControlNet Electrical Interface

2C20 ControlNet Electrical Interface

2C20 EOTec 2000 Electrical Interface Module for the ControlNet network topology. The 2C20 allows users to run the ControlNet protocol over a fiber optic network system, thus allowing longer distance cable runs and the inherent advantages of fiber optic systems such as immunity to EMI/RFI and lightning. The ControlNet network is an open, state-of-the-art control network that meets the demands of real-time, high-throughput applications.

Opening up the modular EOTec 2000 system to ControlNet offers significant advantages over other types of fiber optic interfaces: it allows the configuration of the popular Star network topology, and it can create a true Self-Healing Ring network with full media redundancy. The EOTec 2000 system also provides interface to all types of single/multi-mode fiber cable (as well as conversions to different cable types within the network). In addition, the EOTec 2000 modular system also provides unique power supply systems, which are particularly suitable for remote, unattended operation. Dual power supply systems can be configured, multiple power sources can be used, and supplies are available with diagnostic alarm outputs. The 2C20 Electrical Interface Module meets all the specifications of the ControlNet protocol, and can be used transparently in any ControlNet network.
